What Is Beaver Scouting

The Beaver Scout section is for children aged between six and eight years old. It is the first and youngest Section in the Scout group. Although the section is for six to eight year olds children can join in the three months leading up to their sixth birthday. They may move to Cubs (the next section), between eight and eight years six months.

Beaver Scouts can be recognised by their turquoise sweatshirts, Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others.

There are many different badges and awards than can be gained whilst being a beaver scout.

Our Colony

Our colony has four regular leaders and a few people who help when they are available. The colony enjoys doing many different activities both at our Headquarters and outside (when the weather is suitable). Visits and day trips are often organised in the summer months.
