The Cub Scout section is for children aged between eight and ten years old. There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities that you may not have tried before. These might include swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. A lot of activities will enable you to gain a badge which you can wear on your uniform. The pack sometime do creative things when you may get something to take home.
Like all the sections the cubs are able to gain badges and awards.
Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. There is also the opportunity to go camping the rest of the Pack. This will mean you sleeping in a tent and trying some different outdoor activities.
Our Pack
There is around 25 members who regularly attend and have a great time. Both boys and girls are welcome like all our sections. The Pack has four regular leaders and a few people who help when they are available.
The Pack attends our annual group camp in the summer. This may often be a child's first opportunity to stay away from home. There is also chances to go on other day trips to attractions and visitor centres. As well as camping there will be the opportunity to stay indoor when the group goes away in the autumn months. At this time of year you will stay in a hostel rather than a tent. There is again the chance to try new things and visit different places in the country.
